FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME (FAS)
MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS)
Eligible Singapore Citizens (SC) can receive financial assistance from MOE on fees and other school expenses. All students applying for FAS must submit the MOE FAS application online regardless of which FAS scheme they are applying for. Students who do not qualify for MOE FAS will be considered for School-Based FAS (SBFAS).

There are 2 types of financial assistance schemes (FAS):

Income Eligibility Criteria
Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) does not exceed:

i. $4,000 or
-
ii. $1,000 per capita
Benefits

i. 100% subsidy on school and miscellaneous fees

ii. Free textbooks and school attire

iii. School meal subsidy
-
iv. Public transport subsidy

SBFAS Category A
Income Eligibility Criteria
Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) does not exceed:

i. $4,500 or
-
ii.$1,125 per capita income
Benefits

i. 100% subsidy on school and miscellaneous fees

ii. Free textbooks and 2 sets of PE attire
-
iv. School meal subsidy
-
v. Public transport subsidy
SBFAS Category B
Income Eligibility Criteria
Gross Monthly Household Income (GHI) does not exceed:

i. $5,500 or
-
ii.$1,375 per capita income

i. 100% subsidy on school and miscellaneous fees

Important Notes
-
For students with approved FAS application, they will not have to pay for their school uniforms and textbooks purchased at the bookshop. Hence, students should not purchase these items from the bookshop till they have received approval of their FAS application. There will not be any reimbursement or refunds for any items purchased prior to approval of their application.

What to Expect

Parents will receive an email acknowledgement from MOE HQ upon submission of the eFAS application.

FAS processing time takes 3 – 4 weeks.

Parents who received an email update from MOE HQ on the approval of their FAS should wait for a follow-up notification from the school.

The school will contact parents via PG to inform them of their application outcome and provide details on FAS collection and benefits (if applicable).
